The Neuron Agent now provides support for monitoring and performance reporting of individual Solaris Zones. This new feature can monitor the most important zone statistics such as CPU Utilization, Memory Usage, and the number of processes running inside each zone.
In addition, performance reports can be generated for any numerical monitored property. This feature is now available for download in the Neuron Agent for Oracle Solaris here: http://www.halcyoninc.com/products/NeuronAgent/ Screenshots of the new features are below: ![]() |

Hi. We are using Solaris ldoms and have also created zones inside each of the ldoms. Is there a way to monitor each of the ldoms on a system using this product?
Also, if we add or remove zones, will they automatically be added to the table? SS |

Absolutely. You can install a Neuron Agent on each LDom, which allows you to not only monitor the utilization and performance of the logical domain but to also monitor and report on the containers and zones inside each of the LDoms.
The Zones Statistics section of the PrimeAlert SystemMonitor module lists the zones that are currently up and running. So, if you dynamically add and run a new Solaris zone it will automatically appear in the table. The same rule applies when you halt or delete a zone, it will automatically be removed from the table. If you are looking to view the performance of the entire physical system running multiple LDoms, you can stack the individual resource utilization metrics from each LDom using our Enterprise Reporter: http://www.halcyoninc.com/products/EReporter/index.php |
